Justin Timberlake Hits Fashion Week

With a show like last night's William Rast fashion event, it's no wonder Justin Timberlake topped GQ's Most Stylish Men in America list. The crooner, along with partners Trace Ayala and Marcella and Johan Lindeberg, designed the classic denim and leather looks that graced the runway last night during New York's Fall 2009 Fashion Week. In cased you missed our minute-to-minute Tweets, celebs came out in droves—GF Jessica Biel, Anthony Anderson, Emile Hirsch, Gerard Butler and Aubrey O'Day, among them—to see the collection embellished with rock-star fringe and studs. "We believe that during this coming era of modern America, it is creativity that will be one of the most important ingredients to bring energy into today's culture," the one-sheet distributed on guests' chairs read. "The William Rast Fall Winter 2009 expression draws upon inspiration from the American Classic Movies of Rumble Fish and Thelma & Louise...Blended with sharp tailoring, featuring strong, confident shoulders and slimming silhouettes, the collection expresses a bold direction for New America." With such moving words and a show that appeared to go off without a hitch (not even a model trip-up), it's a shame Mr. Stylish Man USA couldn't eke out a smile.

Kanye West: Being a Sex Addict Fueled Success

Kanye West is on another magazine cover and as usual the rapper turned auto-tune singer turned fashion designer is full of Kanye-isms. To name a few: "Put this in the magazine: There's nothing more to be said about music. I'm the f--king end-all, be-all of music.” "Oh my God, I'm one of the greatest rappers in the world. I'll get on a track and completely ee-nihilate that track, I'll eat it and rip it in half. I wouldn't have to think of it.” "I have, like, nuclear power, like a superhero, like Cyclops when he puts his glasses on." What other new tales of grandeur might Kanye have added to his repertoire? Just that a sexual addiction at a young age has somehow fueled his drive for greatness... "People ask me a lot about my drive," he says. "I think it comes from, like, having a sexual addiction at a really young age. Look at the drive that people have to get sex—to dress like this and get a haircut and be in the club in the freezing cold at 3 a.m., the places they go to pick up a girl. If you can focus the energy into something valuable, put that into work ethic..." That actually sounds more like normal behavior than a full-blown sexual addiction, but if Kanye says he was a sex addict then he was probably the greatest addict to have ever been addicted to sex in the history of sexual studies. He also notes that he was a highly advanced computer programmer of sexual addiction and produced his first Super Mario Bros.: The Penis Remix in the seventh grade: "My game was very sexual. The main character was, like, a giant penis. It was like Mario Brothers, but the ghosts were, like, vaginas. Mind you, I'm 12 years old, and this is stuff 30-year-olds are programming. You'd have to draw in and program every little step—it literally took me all night to do a step, 'cause the penis, y'know, had little feet and eyes." Cute, right? However, it should be noted that Kanye is over music and penis games as he's now turning his great sexual addiction nuclear energy exclusively to fashion. He plans on moving to Paris and being mentored by his fashion idol Marc Jacobs. In fact, Yeezy is so into M.J., he intentionally left the designer's number on the table for his Details interviewer to see.

Tim Gunn: Bring Me Meryl and Angelina!

Tim Gunn would like a word with Meryl Streep: "I am her biggest fan and I can't get enough of her," the Project Runway mentoring guru tells E! online. "But wearing my fashion hat, I want to say to Meryl Streep, 'You need to accept responsibility for what you are wearing. I don't know that you do.' She is so smart, so stunning, and she has a great figure." Gunn says he'd love to go shopping with Ms. Streep to help her—yup—make it work. "Sometimes she gets it right, but more often she doesn't," Gunn says. "The message she's sending is, I'm too smart for this and it doesn't matter to me what I'm wearing. I want to say to her that it should matter to you." Gunn may finally get that chance to chat with Streep on Sunday, when he cohosts ABC’s live pre-Oscar special with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts and Jess Cagle (Entertainment Weekly's managing editor). Gunn is also hoping to meet Angelina Jolie on the big day. No, he doesn't think she needs any help in the fashion department.

Twilight Star Robert Pattinson Talks 'New Moon"

In the last 12 months, 22-year-old Robert Pattinson has filmed a hit movie, walked numerous red carpets and plastered his face on the cover of seemingly every magazine except Guns & Ammo. It wasn't until Sunday night, however, that he officially felt like a movie star. "It's insane," the "Twilight" star grinned, standing on the red carpet while Brangelina went past him. "This is the weirdest. When [the Academy] first told us about [my invitation to present an award], I was like, 'No, no, no. You're joking!' [I thought] I was going to have to do something really stupid, like get gunged [slimed]!" Fear not, RPattz — the Oscars were not planning to have you slimed, gunged or Punk'd in any way. Instead, he appeared on stage alongside "Mamma Mia!" star Amanda Seyfried to present a montage of great love scenes from the year in film. And while on the carpet, Pattinson said he couldn't wait to get on to the "New Moon" set and start making some new love scenes of his own. "I think there's going to be some continuity," Pattinson said of the sequel, which will begin filming with new director Chris Weitz next month. "But it's weird, because they are shooting it in a different city [than the first film]. I've talked to [Weitz] a bit, but we've only talked about my character; I haven't really talked about the whole look of it. But Chris is great with visual stuff, so it should be pretty impressive." But don't think Rob is all sugar and spice and everything nice — asked which "New Moon" scene he's most eager to shoot, Pattinson said he can't wait to dump Kristen Stewart's Bella. "The scene where we temporarily break up," he revealed. "On one hand, it's completely impossible. And on the other, it sets a very different tone to the series. I think it will be good." It's a good thing that RPattz is so eager to slip back into the peacoat and colored contacts of love-struck vampire Edward Cullen. Because, unbeknown to us, we were about to break some big news to him that would basically force the actor to clear his schedule from now until late 2010. "I didn't even know that!" Rob marveled when we told him that "Eclipse" had recently snagged itself a release date a mere seven months after that of "New Moon." "Yep, and 'Breaking Dawn' is going to be at some point as well," he added, knowing that he'll be playing Edward well into his mid-20s. "Yeah, I'm gonna be Twilighted out by the end of the year."

Britney Spears' ex faces assault charge

Prosecutors have charged Britney Spears' former boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, with three felonies including assault with a deadly weapon. Ghalib allegedly struck a process server with his car outside his apartment on Jan. 30. The server was attempting to deliver papers notifying him that Britney Spears' father and attorneys were seeking a restraining order against him. According to a news release, the process server clung to the hood of Ghalib's car to avoid being pinned and broke his wrist. The 36-year-old paparazzo, who has not yet been arrested, also faces battery and hit-and-run charges. A current phone number for Ghalib could not be located. He did not appear for a Monday hearing on the restraining order.

Audrina Partridge posts burglary video

Audrina Partridge is sharing video from a different kind of tense life episode: a break-in at her house. The star of "The Hills" posted surveillance video Tuesday on her blog of the break in, which police said was reported Monday. The footage shows a young man and woman, apparently aware of at least one camera, running around her Hollywood hills home in the dark. Partridge was not home at the time. She blogged Tuesday that the robbery was "pretty devastating," but that most of the items taken are replaceable. She asks anyone with information to call police. Video surveillance played a role when $2 million in jewelry was stolen from Paris Hilton's Sherman Oaks home was last December. No suspect has been caught in that case.

Mischa Barton: Don't Worry About My Weight!

To anyone who thinks Mischa Barton is wasting away, she has a message: Don't worry about me. "Just so you guys know I'm happier and healthier than ever," the actress, 23, writes on her Web site. "Things are really well in Mischa world and I've just been watching what I eat." Still, it's not everybody's imagination: she notes that she is thinner these days, as recent photos in the media have shown, sometimes accompanied by pointed speculation about her health. "I still love my Pilate and yoga, and have cut back on fatty foods a bit," she says. "My time in India and Paris really just helped me lose a little bit of weight but there's nothing drastic going on!" Except, perhaps, with the media, she says. "I think it's very unhealthy for young girls to read about and pay attention to," Barton says. "To my female fans: Just be happy and secure with yourself and don't let other people's perceptions of you dictate the way you live your life." In a separate statement to Celebuzz, Barton laments, "This whole situation is ridiculous." "One minute, I'm too fat, the next I'm too skinny," she tells the site. "[The press] is always looking to start rumors and create drama."

Schwarzenegger to play himself in Stallone film

Art will imitate life when Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger spends a few hours playing himself later this year in a movie by Sylvester Stallone. Stallone's publicist, Sheryl Main, revealed more details Tuesday of Schwarzenegger's rare big-screen appearance. The governor said he has done just three cameos for friends since becoming governor in 2003. Shooting on the film, "The Expendables," will begin March 28 in Brazil and move to New Orleans for two months. Main says the governor will shoot his scene in Los Angeles. It also stars Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke and Forest Whitaker.

LAPD Still "Vigorously" Investigating Rihanna Photo Leak

The Los Angeles Police Department is still trying to plug its leak. The internal investigation launched last week into who provided TMZ.com with a photo of Rihanna that was taken after she was allegedly assaulted by Chris Brown is still underway, E! News confirmed Tuesday. "They said they were looking into it vigorously," LAPD spokesman Lt. John Romero said, referring to a statement made by an Internal Affairs commander at a meeting earlier in the day. "We are not talking about the protocols because it will relate to this investigation," he said, unwilling to divulge further details about investigative procedure. A law-enforcement source tells E! News that police have identified the computer they believe to be the one from which the photo originated, although they have not figured out who transferred the image. Per protocol, the LAPD has not formally identified Rihanna as the victim of what transpired between her and Brown on the morning of Feb. 8. In announcing the investigation into the leak, authorities would only say that the photo appeared to have been taken "during an official domestic violence investigation." "A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination," police said. Meanwhile, the investigation into Brown's conduct continues, as well. Law-enforcement sources have told E! News that prosecutors are looking for evidence to build a felony case against the R&B star. After being booked on suspicion of making criminal threats on Feb. 8, Brown made his way to Virginia to be with his family. Rihanna was treated overnight at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and then traveled to her native Barbados. She left the Caribbean island sometime last week, and her current location is unknown.

Cannes honors Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood received an honorary Palme d’Or from Cannes festival toppers Gilles Jacob and Thierry Fremaux to celebrate “the talent of a grand master at the summit of his craft” at a private ceremony in Paris on Wednesday. Eastwood, in France for the release of “Gran Torino,” has a long relationship with Cannes stretching back to 1985 when “Pale Rider” played in competition. He has returned to present “Bird,” “White Hunter,” “Black Heart,” “Mystic River” and “Changeling.” “When I made my first film 39 years ago, no one in the U.S. -- except for Roger Ebert who was always very enthusiastic -- believed in me as a filmmaker. But French cineastes have always been very supportive,” Eastwood told guests at a Paris restaurant. “France remains one of the rare countries that approaches cinema as an art form.” Fremaux said of the honor, “In the U.S., they call this a lifetime achievement award, but in French the word achievement means ‘done’ and Clint Eastwood is far from being done. We’ll call it an ‘opening award.’ “ Fremaux said the fest gave the Palme d’Or to Eastwood on Wednesday because he won’t be able to attend Cannes this year.

Kate Walsh Credits Pals, Family for Helping Her Through Divorce

As the former wife of McDreamy, Addison Montgomery is maybe the most famous divorcee on national television. But Kate Walsh, the woman who plays her on both Grey's Anatomy and its spin-off Private Practice, never imagined that she would have to go through the same ordeal off-screen "I don't think anyone gets married thinking that they will get divorced," says Walsh, 41, opening up about her divorce from film studio executive Alex Young, 38, for the first time in next month's Redbook cover story. Walsh adds: "Alex and I still care for each other, and I wish him nothing but the best." And the actress gave praise to the people who stepped up to comfort and support her during the difficult time. "The silver lining to this, however, is that I have a wonderful family and a great group of friends who really showed their support and encouragement, and for that I am truly grateful," she says. In December, Young filed for divorce after 15 months of marriage citing irreconcilable differences. The couple had tied the knot last September after a three-month courtship. "I second-guess myself all the time," Walsh told the magazine. "I make a decision and then wonder if I made the wrong choice. Sometimes I come off as confident, but really I am a quivering little wharf rat underneath." Right now she is a wharf rat in need of a date. Walsh admitted to Redbook that her favorite form of courtship – calling a guy and then hanging up when he picks up – has been made obsolete in the age of caller ID. "Remember when you could mildly stalk a guy?" mused Walsh. "Not anymore, man. They can be at your front door in five minutes. There's just no mystery now."

Cowell was joking about deep-freeze plan

A spokeswoman for Simon Cowell says reports that the “American Idol” judge wants to be frozen after death are greatly exaggerated. Cowell was making a tongue-in-cheek remark at a dinner in London two weeks ago with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and other guests, spokeswoman Lisa Dallos said Tuesday. But the cryogenics comment that Dallos said was meant as a joke was trumpeted in a number of news reports as a serious plan by Cowell, a music industry executive and TV producer (“America’s Got Talent,” Britain’s “The X Factor”).

"If you're a fan of ER, you won't want to miss this one," Wells says.

France honors Dustin Hoffman

Dustin Hoffman fought back tears as he was honored by France in Paris Thursday. In an elaborate event in a gilded hall, Culture Minister Christine Albanel made the two-time Oscar winner an honorary commander in France’s National Order of Arts and Letters and tied a green medallion around the 71-year-old actor’s neck. Hoffman’s eyes moistened, and after taking a second to regain his composure, he joked: “When you get to my age, you cry at the weather reports.” On a more serious note, he told The Associated Press he was “as satisfied as you can be when you wake up in the morning and say, ‘that’s the best dream I’ve ever had.’” He attended the ceremony with his wife, Lisa Gottsegen. Albanel called Hoffman “one of the greatest actors of our time”, paying tribute to his Oscar-winning performances as a workaholic father in the 1979 movie “Kramer vs. Kramer” and as an autistic man in “Rain Man,” from 1988.

Kate Hudson & Owen Wilson's French Adventure

After a low-key weekend of bike rides and late night dinners in Paris, Owen Wilson and very on-again girlfriend Kate Hudson took their French break on the road – for a run along the Normandy coastline. Heading 90 miles north of Paris on Tuesday, the same day that Wilson's Marley & Me costar Jennifer Aniston flew into Paris, the couple mixed sightseeing with small restaurants, picturesque ports, and shopping, and found time for a walk among the crosses lining the U.S. cemetery above Omaha Beach. After making the two-hour drive, Wilson, 40, and Hudson, 29, stopped first in the port of Trouville-sur-Mer, settling in at the town's celebrated portside terrace restaurant, Les Vapeurs. "They were like any normal young couple," one staffer tells PEOPLE. "She held his hand and they were very nice, no pretensions." Following a one hour-plus lunch, the pair drove over for a lengthy walk around the shops and galleries lining the 18th century port of Honfleur befor returning to Trouville for dinner at L'Inattendu, a small French backstreet restaurant. "They were very comfortable with each other,' says a diner who recognized Owen under his black ball cap when the couple arrived around nine. "There was lots of talking going on between them, laughter." Wednesday morning, Owen took a nearly 90-minute jog, while Kate went through the exclusive designer boutiques lining the French resort's main avenue. Afterwards, it was back to Les Vapeurs for a second day's lunch, and then an afternoon drive to the Normandy Cemetery, where those who fell in the D-Day landings remain. They then returned to Paris, where Wilson joined Aniston for the premiere of French-titled Marley & Moi.

Gwyneth Paltrow takes critics of her Web site

Gwyneth Paltrow is taking on critics of her lifestyle Web site, Goop.com, just days after The New York Times published an article questioning the site's relevance in light of a barrage of published swipes against its cardio-workout and pizza-recipe content. Also under attack: the site's perceived omniscient tone. I think the people who are criticizing it or criticizing the idea of it, don't really get it, because if they did, they would like it," Paltrow, 36, told PEOPLE Wednesday night at a New York City benefit she hosted for Bent On Learning, a non-profit organization which arranges yoga and meditation classes in the city's public schools. Yet as The Times noted, "many critics find the enterprise fatuous and a bit puzzling." Typical is a query from Toronto's The Globe and Mail: "Why is it called Goop?" its writer asked. "Perhaps 'Any Old Load of Rubbish' and 'Learn From Me, Ungrateful Peasant' were both taken." Paltrow said she believes some of the barbs simply stem from the fact that she's doing something new and different. "I think that people like people to stay in their 'box' — they like people to stay how they are comfortable seeing them."

Woof! Aniston, Wilson chomp on dog biscuits

“Marley & Me” stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson learned a little more about a dog’s life on Saturday. Appearing on the German show, “Wetten, dass …?,” the pair chomped on dog biscuits after losing a bet on the live broadcast. The show asks celebrity guests to bet on where another guest can perform a talent; in this case, Aniston bet that a woman could identify her dogs by the sound of them lapping up soup — and won. But Wilson, who lost the bet, roped her into eating a dog biscuit with him as punishment anyway. “Honey, we’re in this together,” he said, according to People. “I’ll eat one, I’m the host. And Owen, you have to eat one,” host Thomas Gottschalk said before urging Jen to take a bite. “Jennifer, you can eat it if you want, but I’d really like to be able to tell my grandkids that I ate dog biscuits with Jennifer Aniston.” As it turned out, chowing down on doggie treats wasn’t so bad. “They’re a little dry,” Aniston admitted. “I guess all German dogs love me now.”
