A Lebanese actress best known for her role in the 1940 movie Fata Motamarida.
She moved with her family to Alexandria and then Cairo in order to pursue her acting career. While in Cairo, her aunt actress and producer Asia Dagher helped her make her way in the acting business by offering her supporting roles.
She then got married to producer and director Ahmad Jalal and formed a production company in which she became a scenarist, director, and actress. Some of the movies they produced are Rabab and O’m al Sa’ad.
After the death of her husband Ahmad Jalal, she took over the company and produced movies like Ibn al Neil for Yousef Chahin.
She has starred in the following movies: Ghada al Sahra’, Wakhz al Dameir, and al Zawja al Sabi’ah.
When she married Ahmad Jalal she announced that she converted to Islam. She has only one son from the renowned producer, his name is Nader Ahmad Jalal.
