Sony Pix, incidentally, is an English movie channel from Multi Screen Media, formerly Sony Entertainment Network. It features English language content and competes primarily with HBO and STAR Movies in India.



It has recently (February, 2008) begun airing a reality TV show called Gateway, for finding potential Hollywood directors in India. The channel has also asked a few advertisers to earmark a fixed outlay on the channel, said Ms Shejal Shah, Vice-President, India Media Exchange (IMX), the consolidated media buying unit of Starcom MediaVest Group and Zenith Optimedia.
