Cannes' Top Honors Announced2009-05-24

The 62nd Annual Cannes Film Festival announced its top honors Sunday.

Quentin Tarantino's film, 'Inglourious Basterds, which stars Brad Pitt and is due in theaters on August 21, took the award for Best Actor, for Christoph Waltz's performance. Cannes' top prize, the Palme d'Or, went to German director Michael Haneke's 'The White Ribbon.' Charlotte Gainsbourg won the prize for Best Actress, for her performance in Lars von Trier's 'Antichrist.'
