George Clooney's Final 'ER' to Air in March2009-02-26
"ER" execs have been tight lipped about George Clooney's return to the show, but now the cat's out of the bag with plot details and an exact air date.
Executive producer John Wells tells People that George and co-star Julianna Margulies will reunite on March 12.
Will the two star-crossed lovers finally have a happy ending? Wells wrote the episode and hints, "I want their story to be very fulfilling in the end."
Meanwhile, a show insider tells the mag that their storyline features Susan Sarandon, who will make her "ER" debut as a grandmother grief-stricken over the sudden death of her grandson.
"If you're a fan of ER, you won't want to miss this one," Wells says.
