Sheen's 'beaten' wife mum2009-12-27

Charlie Sheen's wife has clammed up about her allegations that her hubby assaulted her, says a Colorado police source.

Brooke Mueller will no longer discuss the alleged physical assault that landed Sheen in jail, TMZ.com reported.

When police reached out to the star's wife for an interview after the alleged assault, she refused to cooperate, the Web site said. Mueller also changed the story she originally told to cops on Christmas Day.

Sheen reportedly told cops that he was the victim of the Christmas dust-up -- that he was simply "fending off" a violent Mueller.

The "Two and a Half Men" star was released from Pitkin County Jail late Friday on $8,500 bail.

He was charged with felony second-degree assault.
