Oscar winner Sandra Bullock has been chosen to receive the MTV Generation Award during the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.

MTV is honoring Bullock for entertaining generations of the network's audience over the last two decades. She will be the first female to receive this award. "Sandra is one of those rare individuals who is adored by our audience as both an actress and a role model," Stephen Friedman, General Manager, MTV, said of 'The Blind Side' actress.

Hosted by Aziz Ansari, the MTV Movie Awards will be broadcast live from the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Calif. on Sunday, June 6 at 9p.m./8p.m.C.
