Meryl Streep on Natasha Richardson: Lucky to Have Known Her2009-03-19

Actress Meryl Streep expresses her deepest regards for her recently deceased friend, Natasha Richardson.

"Tash was the warm sun in the center of a large constellation of family, friends, all of those lucky enough to know her - she is irreplaceable in our lives; she gave us so much, so generously - her legacy is the love that connects us all," Meryl tells ET in a statement.

Today, the New York City medical examiner's office determined Richardson's cause of death was from "epidural hematoma due to blunt impact to the head." The medical examiner ruled the death an accident.

The 45-year-old actress, wife of Liam Neeson, died on Wednesday following a skiing accident on Monday.
