Look of the Day: Eva Longoria's Minty Fresh Style2012-06-14

Whether she's in a ball gown or a cocktail dress, Eva Longoria never plays the wallflower. This is perfectly exemplified by her standout look for the Desperate Housewives photocall at the Monte Carlo TV Festival.

Her patterned Versus dress teamed with fuchsia Brian Atwood pumps is so very modern, yet the color palette conjures up images of T-Birds and '50s diners. We love to see fashion nostalgia in a whole new light, particularly on a star with Eva's style moxie.

The invigorating ensemble was worn with a voluminous ponytail to give the 5'2" actress a few inches of extra height. By our calculations she had to be up to 5'9" for the occasion. Her makeup was kept natural, save for those extra-fluffy lashes she never leaves home without.
